I cannot believe that the summer is almost over! Our first year students have started arriving on campus, and now that we have successfully brought this class in, it’s time to hit the road to start recruiting next year’s class. The cycle never ends… Actually, this is one of my favorite times of the year. I absolutely love going out to meet prospective students and talking to them about Tuck.
As head of women’s recruiting, many of the events I will attend this Fall are sponsored by the Forte Foundation and are targeted at educating women about business careers and MBA programs. The Forte Foundation is a consortium of top business schools and major corporations whose mission is to increase the number of women business leaders. Tuck is proud to be one of the founding members of Forte and has been very active in the organization. Each Fall, Forte hosts events in 7 cities across the country called Forte Forums. The Forums are a great networking opportunity to learn from successful women in business how an MBA enhanced their careers. It also gives you a chance to meet admissions officers from many different schools. The events include a school fair, as well as panels of alumnae and admissions officers. If you want to get the inside scoop on how to prepare an effective MBA application, you will definitely want to go to the admissions officer panel! The Forums will run September 14 through October 1. If you are interested in attending a Forum event in your area, please visit Forte’s website. I hope to see you there!
