It is hard to believe another academic year is drawing to a close. This year went by especially fast. Given all that is happening with the economy and the steady impact that it had on everything we do, I am happy on some level to have much of that in the rear window. But there is a part of me that will look back fondly at 2008-2009 as a year that truly captured the character and essence of the Booth community. Amidst a great deal of uncertainty and instability in the marketplace, our community rallied together and accomplished some pretty amazing things, not least of which was to rename the institution. It is always bittersweet to look to graduation. We will lose some very special students who have really impacted our community, but we are excited about the new group of future Booth leaders coming to campus in September.
In the meantime though, our summer schedule kicks into effect next week. We will continue to give information sessions on campus throughout the summer and our students will be hosting various Student-hosted events around the world as well. I encourage you to look at our website early and often as we will be very active with recruiting events much earlier this year. I hope you will take the time to visit us, either on campus or in your city. Expect the new recruiting year to move into full swing in July, but until then, we in admissions are going to enjoy a little rest. Best wishes, Rose
