There are many reasons why getting a business education is a good idea. If you are the only one in your office that has not gone to one of the many business schools available, you may be left behind when it comes to promotion of employees. Business degrees can be great tools, not only for getting a better job, but also to learn more about how to run a business.
For most people who go to business school, the motivation is to get a better job. Some go to school because they really like to learn. Others decide it is a good choice because it is an opportunity for a free or low cost education. No, there are not schools that will give you a degree for free, but there are companies that will offer to pay for some or all of your education.
Why would a company do this for their employees? Well, the thought behind that is that you will not be the only one to benefit from the business school classes. The hope is that what you are learning in the classes you will bring to the company. Another reason some companies like to offer this to employees is that it is incentive to stay working for the company. Or for new hires, it is a good reason to take a job.
Earning business degrees from business schools can get expensive, so why not take advantage of what some companies are offering. A discounted business education is enough to make people who would not otherwise return to school, go back to get a much deserved degree.
