The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, in a post this week to its Admissions Blog, congratulated applicants who successfully submitted applications by the October 4th Round 1 deadline and let them know what to expect in coming weeks.
Applicants whose online accounts read “Complete-Round 1” can rest assured that all necessary application materials have been received, processed and forwarded on to the Admissions Committee for review. Applicants whose accounts read “Received” should assume that their materials and applications are still being processed by the Operations Team.
“Assuming all materials are received prior to the Round 1 deadline, your online account will reflect ‘Complete-Round 1’ within the next few weeks,” the post advised. Wharton asks that applicants please NOT CALL regarding the completion of their application until October 14th due to the volume of applications being processed.
As for interview invitations, the order in which they are released does not provide an indication of the strength of your candidacy, the school reports. “Release dates depend upon multiple factors, including our recruiting schedule,” read the blog post. Interview invitations, which will include instructions on how to schedule interviews either on campus or at hub or alumni locations, will begin going out on October 29th. By November 5th, all Round 1 candidates will receive either an invitation to interview or a “deny without an interview” decision.
The final decision release date for Round 1 is Friday, December 17th. Throughout the process, all decisions will be posted online and may be checked via the apply/check status link on the home page of Wharton’s website.
Good luck! And don’t forget that you can share your interview experiences and learn about those of others on the Clear Admit Wiki.
