Well, I’m an Idiot

Alternatively titled, “I have learned nothing about test-taking in nearly four years of graduate school.”

I’ve been loving my Law for Entrepreneurs class. It has given me a proper introduction to intellectual property, which I managed to skirt over at the law school; and have otherwise enjoyed revisiting many of the 1L subjects from a business point of view. We’ve been keeping up with relevant, current events through a journal project. Great class all around.

Yesterday, we had our midterm. I wasn’t too stressed because I had read all the assigned reading and had a good grasp on the material. As the professor handed out the exam he explained that we would have plenty of time to complete the test.

I should have had plenty of time, but–I’m honestly not sure what happened–I let myself get way too involved in one of the essay questions and didn’t have my eye on the clock. Next thing you know, the professor calls time and there are multiple choice and true-false questions I haven’t even read yet.

Ridiculous. Totally my own fault and I’m so mad at myself. So now I’m going to get a totally crummy grade on a midterm that tested material I knew well. I have never managed my time so poorly in eight semesters of grade school exams.

Wouldn’t it just be great if I didn’t meet Summer Firm’s gpa requirement because of this? Ugh, I’m an idiot.
