With my applications out-of-the-way, I can get back to some stuff that I really enjoy. This weekend I will be heading down to Philly to run in a half-marathon. The best part about this is that when I run in these types of events, I ask family, friends, and colleagues to donate money for each mile that I run. I take the donations and send it to the American Cancer Society. I have been doing this for about 2 years and with this weekend’s run I should be over $3,000 raised in the fight against cancer so far.
This is a cause that had affected my family, with the death of a grandfather, and I am sure that many of you have been affected in some way by this terrible disease. While the donations are small, they are at least something that might help in the search for a cure. One day we will get there and crossing that finish line will be the best feeling of all.
Hope everyone has a great weekend, sorry for the lack of posting this week, but I have been swamped. Promise to make up for it next week, as the holiday week is going to be VERY slow.
