When I heard Professor Black planned to leave UT to join Professor Litvak at Northwestern Law, I suspected Professor Hu might be also be planning to leave UT Law in the near future. My suspicions were correct. Professor Hu is leaving UT to take on the leadership of a newly established Division of Risk, Strategy, and Financial Innovation at the SEC.
This explains the absence of Securities Regulation from the course offerings during the 2009-2010 academic year. Securities Regulation was the one class that attorneys at Summer Firm insisted I take this year, but it’s not even being offered!
