It’s time for our newest edition of Trivia Tuesday, in which we examine program elements that differentiate the leading MBA programs from their peers. This week we’re taking a look into the Clear Admit School Guide to the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in order to share with you an excerpt about the program’s Real Estate Certificate.
“Interested MBA students may pursue a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development in conjunction with the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. The certificate’s goal is to create a cohort of real estate developers whose education spans many disciplines, including business, law, urban planning, natural resources and the environment, architecture and engineering. By educating students across disciplines, the program hopes that its graduates will be more effective at creating positive development that preserves the natural environment.
The Real Estate Certificate program is limited to 60 students in total, making admission selective. Students admitted to the certificate program must complete 17 credit hours on topics including real estate finance and investment, land use law, urban development, and design and implementation. All certificate students must also complete a two-credit integrative seminar that addresses specific topics in the real estate field while providing an opportunity to forge connections with certificate students from all backgrounds.”
