Thoughts on Exchange Program – Part V

Please read Part IV below before reading this post.

Paris is a great city with amazing history, and a unique character and soul you won’t find in too many cities in the world. I’ve enjoyed going to HEC, attending classes with a completely new student body, getting to know the students and professors on this side of the Atlantic, and living the Parisian lifestyle.

While here, I’ve done my bit to continue to be involved in Tuck activities such as attending Tuck admissions events in Paris, sharing my perspective as a current student, and chatting with prospective students (more on that in a later blog). The immersion in France (and hence Europe) has been a great experience overall – exactly what I was looking for.

And then, I was jolted out of my reverie last week when the second year students received an email from the Tuck MBAPO asking how their name should be printed on the diploma to be presented during graduation ceremony.

That’s when it dawned on me that I’m not going to be at Tuck too much longer and that I am barely 8 months away from graduation. Now, I can’t wait to get back to Tuck and spend the next few months with my classmates, enjoying Upper Valley, and doing the things I’ve loved doing in the first year.

Having had such a great time, I can’t believe I won’t be at Tuck, come June, and I know I am not alone in feeling that way. Countless Tuckies have felt these pangs of separation for almost 110 years and have moved on to achieve some great things in their lives.

For the class of 2010 to which I belong, tough as it is to think of leaving Tuck in the near future, the next adventure and the march to greatness is right around the corner!
