BECAUSE I GOT INTO KELLOGG!!!!!!
Pardon me if I’m a bit nerdily overjoyed. I heard this morning and started shaking, followed by tearing up. I partly blame hormones because I had bawled the night before when I stubbed my toe, but yay! I was pretty shocked. I went outside to call my family and a few friends, and made my sister tear up too (we’re a bunch of softies). As I was walking back into the building (literally at that moment), I noticed my throat felt a little weird and then I got sicker as the day went on. Now I’m here moping and eating a pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream. I guess all the stress from the last few months needed to leave my body, and it decided to do so through my nose. AWESOME.
I really wasn’t expecting this! Mostly because I’d never visited and only talked to one alum (the night before my interview), so I figured that would count against me. But no. Why am I so excited about a school I know very little about? Well, people on their website look happy and I’ll get an awesome job afterwards. Having a future during a recession is enough. I was reading through my Kellogg app this afternoon and they were actually some of my best essays, partly because (as with Stanford), I didn’t feel like I had much to lose.
So yeah, I’m super excited and can’t wait for admit weekend to go see what the school’s like.. . have a great weekend all!
