It is me again. I am sorry I have not blogged in a while…… quite a while. But I have not forgotten about you guys: my readers!
So I finished my first year!!!!!!! I cannot believe it myself. I thought it was endless. I thought I would really be in first year forever. I have to admit that I did not expect it to be this hard. I look back and I remember the times when I just did not have time to even pick matching clothes or to clean my apartment. I remember the times when the winter took me by surprise. All of a sudden, it started getting cold and snowy. I did not know how to handle it. I also remeber the time when my husband came to help me set up my place and then left me in New Hampshire by myself. I cried and I cried that that day I almost had to go to the emergency room because I started having retinal detachment symptoms for crying so much.
But besides all that, I also remeber the good times. The time when I went to China during spring break, the time when the sun started shinning again, my Global Economics class (yes, I am a nerd) and so many other things that are just going to stay with me forever.
But enough about sadness. What comes after this is even better. YES! I am officially a second-year student. I had always looked up to the second years as my idols. They had survived first year! Now, I am one of them. At last.
But what is even better is that between first year and second year, there is something else: ???. No, it is not a summer break. It is a summer internship! and guess what? I got my top choice. I got my dream internship. I got the internship I wanted to do since I was in Colombia and I learned that developing nations rely on institutions such as the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank. I will be doing my internship in Washington D.C. in the International Finance Corporation! I start this Tuesday and I am very excited! Unfortunately I do not think I can share a lot of information about my internship. I do not know what their policy is about blogging, but I will certainly act conservatively in that sense.
Ok, my readers, that is it for today. But I will blog over the summer about ??? I don’t know yet. Any ideas?
