For a few weeks, young folks clad in black suits and clutching padfolios have been traipsing past my office door. Other than their tendency to make me feel like an old hag who waited too long to go to grad school (you guys, most of these kids finished undergrad SEVEN YEARS after I did!!!), I love these wee lawyers-to-be for their naivite, unabashed enthusiasm, and ability to send me home looking inward, re-examining the choices I made four years ago.

Where does P2Pv2011 think my student self went wrong?
- I picked my city first, firms second.
- I prioritized family-friendly firms even though I was single and childless (beware wishful thinking).
- I went back to the same firm for my entire second summer. Canceling all of my banking interviews the day of the Lehman debacle was reactionary.
