After some initial wet weather this week, I think I can safely say Spring is finally here! And now that I’m mobile again, I’ve been out a lot more. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t been blogging much lately. But I thought I take the time to write an update on this fine quiet Sunday Easter morning.
This past Thursday I went to an art gallery. I was invited by my old roommate (who is a model btw) and a couple of her friends. The art itself was okay. Maybe a bit out there for my taste. But let’s just say there was quite a few good looking and hot young 20-somethings there that night. I think I was like the only finance/MBA person there…haha. Speaking of, I am attending Cornell’s Destination Johnson admit weekend this coming Friday. Everything is booked, including the hotel reservation and the NYC-to-Cornell campus bus. And this trip wasn’t cheap either. Net net, it’s going to cost approx. $600. Not a very good start to me trying to budget and save money for BSchool. But I think the trip will definitely be worth it. Not only do I have a lot of questions already, but also it will be a great chance to get to better know Johnson and my future classmates. I’ll definitely report in about that event afterward. This also reminds me of another AWESOME trip I will be taking soon. Dun dun dun, I am going to China in July! Yup, we just booked the tickets Friday. First stop will be Beijing, then doing the backpacking and nature thing in Guilin, then to Hong Kong. All in all, we will be traveling for three weeks. This trip will be a terrific personal life experience and at the same time help me clear my head, refocus so that I’ll be re-energize for Bschool. I’m so excited, I can’t wait! Only 94 days to go! I know many other entering 2010 MBAs will be doing quite a bit of traveling as well. It will be interesting to see who goes where. So there you go – many new exciting things going on as I get ready to embark on my BSchool journey. Life is good…
