Hello Tuck Blog Readers!
So you’ve booked your visit/interview to Tuck. You are probably feeling a little anxious and
nervous about the day. Well, don’t be! In admissions we aim to make your day as informational and stress-less as possible. Below I’ve listed a few suggestions to help you better prepare for your visit—I hope you find them helpful!
1) Get to know Alumni and Current Students: Register to use Tuck Connections. Tuck Connections is a unique opportunity for prospective students to get in touch with Tuck Alumni and current Tuck Students allowing you to learn more about the program from people who are and who have done it!. Please be patient as sometimes it will take a few weeks to be matched.
2) Get to know current students: We in admissions feel that our students are one of our greatest assets when recruiting the next year’s class of Tuckies. Our students are excellent representations of the Tuck fit and are a great resource for you when you are considering Tuck. The best way to get in touch with current students is to browse the plethora of student profiles we have available on the website and also to look at the variety of student clubs and even attend a conference headed by different academic centers we have on campus. On those pages you will be able to find people who share your interest and who’ve made themselves available for questions and concerns by providing their email addresses and contact information. As you can imagine our students are very busy so it’s important to be patient when awaiting a reply.
3) Update your résumé: When you interview at Tuck it is the only piece of information our TAAs (2nd year Tuck Admissions Associates) have prior to your interview. It’s important that this reflects the most current you!
4) Check the FAQs: They are updated frequently and have a great number of questions that you may have and a few I bet you haven’t even thought of listed! Academic FAQs and Admissions FAQs.
5) Feel free to reach out! I am happy to answer any questions that you may have so please comment on the blog or you can email me directly at Cameron.Steese@tuck.dartmouth.edu. Again your patience is appreciated for it may take me a little while to get back to you but I promise I will respond.
I hope this helps you get ready for your day! Remember current Tuck Students went through this process and their experience on campus was a huge contributing factor in their decision to attend Tuck. So sit back, do a little research and expect to have a brilliant time. I truly look forward to meeting you!
See you on campus!
Cameron
