The University of Rochester’s Simon Graduate School of Business announced plans Monday to expand its portfolio of MBA options for working professionals with a new Accelerated Professional MBA (PMBA) Program.
Starting in September 2010, the partial lock-step PMBA program will enable working professionals to pursue their advanced business degree in an evening format over an estimated 18-month period. Teams of students will take their core courses together in a structured fashion and will have the option of taking electives based on the concentration(s) they wish to pursue.
“This new program enhances our array of MBA options for working professionals, complementing our Executive MBA and Part-time Flexible Programs,” says Dean Mark Zupan.
“Several top-tier business schools have instituted similar programs with great success, enabling working professionals to earn a graduate business degree in a shorter time frame with the added benefit of working on diverse teams and learning from their peers. We believe the time is right to offer this program in the Upstate New York region.”
Need and merit-based partial scholarships are available to support the accelerated pace. The Due Date to apply is August, 15, 2010 for September admission.
