Reading Every Assigned Page

I have turned into a compulsive this semester. Really, I hardly recognize myself.

The competition in my Corporations class appears pretty stiff (looks like I made a mistake choosing my particular section of the class as the other professors section is rumored to be significantly less competitive). I want to take that class seriously and do my very best. It’s a four credit class and, after all, Summer Firm is watching very closely. Pulling an average performance in Corporations probably doesn’t bode well for a corporate-associate-to-be even if I do make the GPA threshold (fingers crossed).

This has led to a compulsive urge to read every page assigned. Why? Let’s be honest, I usually haven’t read and outlined every single page assigned prior to exams. But there were two instances during my 1L year that I read every single assigned page: Contracts and Torts. As a result, I got an awesome grade in both classes (I know that sounds boastful, but if you saw the rest of my transcript you would let it slide).

While I’d love to think that reading every assigned page in Corporations will guarantee a similarly stellar grade, I think my performance really hinges on something else. Both my Torts and Contracts exams were traditional law school exams. Issue spotters. A few long essays. My Corporations exam will be all multiple choice. I think there are significant differences between the skill set required to do well on a multiple choice law school exam versus an essay exam. Which brings me to my question for any law school readers out there: know of any effective ways to practice for multiple choice, particularly corporations? Are there bar prep books that have sample Corporations questions that might be useful?
