So I’ve been sick and out of work for the past few days. Don’t worry, it’s not the swine flu. It’s kind of funny because a co-worker actually did have the swine flu. And as soon as I was feeling and looking kind of “flu-ish” on Friday, I got sent home packing with the quickness. People on the desk broke out with the Lysol and disinfectant just as fast. Today is my first day back and I’m feeling much better.
This weekend was also my niece’s birthday. She turned three and will be going to school or rather daycare in October. So as the unofficial world’s greatest uncle, I bought her a pink schoolbag. Even though it did look oversized on her, she seems to like it. It was cute when she started packing her dolls and ponies into her bag. That’s okay because I wasn’t really expecting her to be packing algebra textbooks in daycare.
On the Columbia front, this news may be a little delayed, but my interviewer has submitted her feedback last Thursday. I’m grateful for that : ). So now it’s all up to the admissions committee. Everything is complete and I’m happy with all the work that I have put in. As I said before, the rest is up to the Bschool gods. I read at gmatclub.com that a Columbia ED applicant has already been accepted. Congrats again Novian! It was incredibly fast how the whole process was done in his case. It took him about a month from submission to acceptance. He must be like the first 2010 ED admit. That said, I wouldn’t mind being the second : ). So fingers still crossed…
