As Round 2 interview season rolls on, check out one of the latest additions to the Clear Admit Wiki. A candidate for the Wharton School shared the following interview experience with an alumni:
“The interview took place at a coffee shop near the alumni office. The interviewing tone was casual. The interviewer took a lot of notes (4 pages long note) from each question he asked.
After some introduction, he asked me the following question;
- Walk me through your resume. (He had a lot of following question about my work.)
- Why do you need MBA?
- Why Wharton?
Then, he told me that he will ask some structure questions and read the question from a piece of paper. He mentioned that there are several questions but he will only pick some which seem appropriate. By the way, here are the list of questions;
- Please tell me the time when you had to accomplish an important goal and had to deal with the conflict between team members at the same time.
- Please tell me the time when you tried to completed a task and you felt that other people in the team focus less on the task.
- Please tell me the time when you had to convince some people who, at first, didn’t agreed with your idea.
- Then he asked me whether I have anything that want to tell him but he didn’t ask?
Finally, he gave me a chance to ask some questions about Wharton. The interview lasted around 1 hour.”
