Penn’s Wharton School Expands Knowledge@Wharton Research Initiative to Australia

The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School will expand its Knowledge@Wharton research initiative to the Australian School of Business at the University of New South Wales beginning in 2010, the school announced this week.

Knowledge@Wharton is a website launched more than a decade ago to bring business research to a general business audience. It already features Chinese and Indian versions, as well as versions in Spanish and Portuguese. Earlier this year, Wharton announced it also plans soon to launch an Arabic edition.

This newest Southern Hemisphere site, announced August 10th, will be called Knowledge@Australian School of Business. Like its parent site, the Australian spin-off will provide analysis of business news and economic trends while also investigating government policy in Australia and Asia more widely. Like the other Knowledge@Wharton sites, the Australian version will include text-based articles, video interviews and podcasts.

With the addition of the Australian site, Wharton’s research initiative will now span five continents, points out Mukul Pandya, executive director and editor-in-chief of the Knowledge@Wharton network.
