The interviews haven’t begun at the Law School, but the OCI process is off to a terrible start. According to the CSO, Symplicity is to blame. Here is the latest in a string of e-mails that we’ve received from the CSO about the problem:
Dear PARAGON2PIECES,
Symplicity management has confirmed that a glitch in the interview scheduling system has occurred, affecting the OCI interview schedules at our school and others as well. Alternate candidates were erroneously assigned interviews before preselects in certain instances. In order to correct this problem, we will cancel all currently scheduled alternate interviews and reassign interviews based on preselect status. Current lottery selections will not be affected. Students may still decline any interviews.
Interview schedules will not be available while these updates are being made. Please note the new timeline:
Preselect and lottery interviews will be available to view before midnight today, August 5. We will send an e-mail when they are ready. To accept the interview, no further action is required. Should you wish to decline an interview, please do so by Monday, August 7 at 12:00 pm CT.
After this cancellation period, alternate interviews will be scheduled. Drew Carls, OCI Coordinator, will notify students when these schedules are available to be viewed.
If you have previously contacted the CSO with regard to OCI scheduling and this email does not address your questions, please contact your career counselor or Drew Carls. We recognize your frustrations with this computer system error and appreciate your patience as this unfortunate circumstance is corrected.
As if law students weren’t stressed out enough as it is.
