NYC PROUDLY presents the opening of the Chelsea High Line!!

http://www.thehighline.org/

This is such big news that it has to get a separate blog entry of its own. If you don’t know what the High Line is, it’s basically a park on top of the streets. It’s built on old railroad tracks that use to run way back when on the west side of Manhattan. You don’t know how excited I am about this. I’ve been waiting for this to be completed for four years now, ever since they announced construction back in 2005. This park is unique because where else in the city is there a park that is 30 feet up in the air. I can just imagine it as the new make out point for all those youngsters out there : ). The reason I am so hyped up is because it is in my neighborhood. Chelsea Pride! I remember when I was a teenager, my friends and I would use to sneak up to the tracks through a warehouse and hang out there. Okay Okay, I should confess. We were technically trespassing and loitering. And we did more than “hang” out. Don’t want to get into details, but hey, we were teenagers. What do you expect.

There’s also a First Party next Monday. I would luv to go, but tickets are starting at $1,000. Ouch, that’s too rich for my blood. I want to help and donate, but that kind of money is just a little too steep for me. Especially when I’m planning on BSchool. I guess it’s only for the high rollers in NYC. I wouldn’t be surprise to see Paris Hilton or someone like that there. Grrrrr…Anyway, enough hating.

But you can be sure that I’ll be there this weekend to take lots of photos. And of course, I’ll post them here first for all my adoring readers.
