Notes from the Director: Travel Season Continues

 Ankur Kumar, Admissions Director

We hope that you are enjoying the end of summer (or for our applicants from the Southern Hemisphere, the end of winter!) The last few months have flown by with the Admissions Team visiting over 35 cities – from Mumbai to Moscow to Lagos to Paris to Monterrey to Sydney – and almost every other major city in between – and we are still on the move! We have really enjoyed getting to meet with you, help you learn more about Wharton, and connect you to our alumni around the globe.

After spending time with you in San Francisco, New York, Boston and Washington D.C., I'll be heading to the Middle East in September and Southeast Asia in October. Visit our events calendar to see if we'll be at a city near you soon.

Our travel season is a special time for us, and we truly enjoy meeting all of you in person and sharing with you what makes Wharton special. We are always thinking of new ways to make our events valuable for you, and this year we launched a series of Industry Panels to help you learn more about the resources aligned with industries including Energy, Retail and Entrepreneurship. These events also give you the chance to connect with our alumni who have launched careers in particular industries and better understand how their time at Wharton and after made those goals possible.

We still have several more panels to come, including:

Health Care/VC in Boston: Tuesday, August 30th
Real Estate in Washington, DC: Tuesday, September 20th
Media/Tech in Seattle: Monday, September 26th
Retail in NYC: Tuesday, October 4th
Entrepreneurship in NYC: Thursday, October 6th

Be sure to check out our events page to see what else we have planned this fall. As I head off on my international travels, our dedicated Admissions Team will continue to crisscross the U.S. and also be here on campus. Please always feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

 Sincerely,
