I had the distinct pleasure and honor of attending the Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) event held at UCLA this past weekend. The event attracted over 200 prospective MBAs from throughout the US to meet with University of California business schools and other top US programs.
The weekend was filled with networking, speed interviewing training sessions, and time to meet with admissions officers and learn about their various programs. The attendees represented a broad cross-section of undergraduate programs and industries.
While I am generally none too fond of giving up the few free weekends I have in the fall, this event was well worth it. This is one of multiple initiatives we support to enhance the diversity of the learning environment, including under-represented minorities, women, military, and people from the East Coast.
