After hearing that Harvard Business School is changing its round 1 admissions decision timeline, we are not surprised to learn that Wharton is making a similar change, giving candidates a cutoff date for when they should expect to hear back regarding interview requests. According to an e-mail forwarded to us by a client, the Wharton admissions committee will release interview invitations on October 29 and November 5. By November 5, the AdCom will release all final admissions decisions to candidates not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission. If you are invited to have an interview, it must be completed by December 3, and you will receive your final admissions decision by December 17. So the waiting game will end early for Wharton and HBS applicants. Which admissions office will be next?
