MBA News: Saturday EMBA Program Begins at Columbia Business School

Late last year, Columbia Business School announced that it would be starting the first Saturday-only Executive MBA program offered, or at least the first one offered by a top business school. Well, the school’s inaugural class, slated to graduate in May 2013, has just started its first year, so you may be interested in a few facts about the program. The class has an average age of 31, three years higher than that of Columbia’s full-time MBA program, and 20% already hold advanced degrees – an older and experienced crew. The EMBA Saturday runs for six terms, and includes the same number of credits and the same curriculum as Columbia’s full-time MBA program, but allows students to pursue their degree without taking time off of work or gaining employer sponsorship.
