In this piece by Steve Lohr at the New York Times, “two-thirds of net new jobs are created by companies with fewer than 500 employees, which is the government’s definition of a small business,” but this creation is more attributed to the age of these companies rather than the size. Start-ups and younger companies are where these jobs are blooming.
