It seems that the job market for MBA graduates is looking up. In a September 2010 survey, the GMAC found that 88 percent of MBA students who graduated in the summer of 2010 already had job offers, a 4 percent increase from 2009. However, only 59 percent obtained the kind of job that they had wanted at that time. And, while starting salaries are up from 2009, they are still below median starting salaries for graduates in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Combine these findings with a decline in the number of business school applications and it looks like now may be the time to apply.
