“When discussing KBS in the international business community, I am constantly being asked: ‘How many business schools do you have in Japan?’ To some it may be surprising, but until the late 1990s KBS was the only business school in Japan to target Japanese business professionals as students. There were, of course, many business-related departments at the undergraduate level, but no business school at the graduate level,” reflects Hirokazu Kono, Dean of the Keo Business School (KBS) of Keo University on the state of management education in Japan.
