I’ve collected all the registration forms. The company has cut a check for the team. And the gauntlet has been thrown down! Okay, that last part was just nonsensical. Anyway, my company cycling team is officially signed up to ride in the NYC Century Bike Tour in September. Woohooo! Well, as soon as I hand in all the paperwork on Thursday. I am really siked up about the ride. Although this event is as much a team effort as it is a competitive one, I have to admit that the competitiveness side of me is just aching to come ahead of the pack. Must train hard for the next three months!
And if anybody in NYC is interested in biking and riding, shoot me an email and I’ll send you the info. about the event.
Besides blogging to vent some of the frustrations that come out of this whole MBA business, I have found that this blog has actually improved my writing. Having been out of school for roughly five years, the closest thing I’ve come to writing are short work memos and emails. So it’s not surprising that I was a little rusty when I first started out. But after blogging for a few months now, I find it much easier to convey what I want to say. Although I started this blog for my own personal benefit, I also wanted at least one other person to read it and share his/her thoughts. Call it egotistic, narcissistic, or what have you. I just wanted to know that I wasn’t alone out there. At first, I was afraid no one would read it, much less comment. But it seems as though I’ve gain a small following. I have to admit, it does feel good to know that somebody out there understands and is in the same stage of life as I. Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone for their support thus far. It’s been quite a ride so far and the real fun hasn’t even started yet! And I am looking forward to what the next half of the year will bring.
