Happy Friday! I thought I would spend time over the coming weeks introducing the members of the admissions team at Chicago Booth. First up, I’d like to introduce Carrie Lydon, who joined Booth just over a year ago as an associate director. You can learn more about her in her bio on our website.
Hi! My name is Carrie Lydon and I am an Associate Director of Admissions at Chicago Booth. In addition to serving on the Admissions Committee, I help to plan prospective student events, Admit Weekend, and manage LGBT outreach initiatives.
This fall, I’ve been heavily focused on LGBT outreach, ensuring that we attract an incredibly diverse Class of 2012! We have participated in several panels and events, including the Out for Undergraduate Business Conference (www.outforbusiness.com), Reaching Out MBA Conference (www.reachingoutmba.org), and our very own Chicago Booth Live – Diversity event.
In addition, we are gearing up for an LGBT mixer in Chicago on November 20th. This event, designed for prospective students, current students alumni, and faculty, is a great way to learn more about the culture and community at Chicago Booth, as well as make connections.
