International business school INSEAD last week announced that it has joined iTunes U, a dedicated area of the iTunes Store that offers free audio and video content from leading educational institutions.
The school, which has campuses in Abu Dhabi, France and Singapore, plans to upload interviews with faculty, research, conferences, lectures and more. Content will be available in English, Chinese and Arabic and can be downloaded to a computer, iPhone, iPod or iPad. INSEAD will also share material from marquee events such as its Annual Leadership Summits and select roundtables, complete with full reports issued in conjunction with the conference.
“Virtual learning has become a natural extension of today’s educational environment,” INSEAD Dean J. Frank Brown said in a statement. “Leaders are interacting virtually more than ever before and need digital tools for continued learning,” he continued. “INSEAD on iTunes U will be of great interest to audiences around the world.”
INSEAD Dean of Research Ilian Mihov echoed Brown’s sentiments, adding that the INSEAD curriculum is particularly well suited to online learning. “We are accustomed to presenting material across several different platforms to reach a global audience, as our research and case studies are often used in global Executive Education programmes,” he said.
INSEAD joins other leading institutions, including Columbia, Wharton and Spain’s IE Business School, in offering business school content on iTunes.
