The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the association of international graduate business schools and owner of the GMAT exam, has admitted the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore (IIM-B), as its newest member.

IIM-B was selected to join 178 other leading business schools almost 20 countries by the GMAC Board of Directors. IIMB joined ranks now with the Indian School of Business is
also a member of GMAC.

“We are pleased to welcome the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, under the leadership of Director and Professor Pankaj Chandra, to our ranks,”said David A. Wilson, GMAC president and CEO. “It is clearly recognized as an institution that is at the forefront of graduate management education around the world, upholding the high standards of excellence and integrity that represent membership in the Council.” he added.

2009 continues to be a year of victories for IIM-B as early this year they were named one of the Employers Choice Top Ten B-schools for the Pacific Asia region.
