IESE Launches New EMBA Program in Brazil

Spain’s IESE business school will launch a new Executive MBA (EMBA) program in Sao Paulo, Brazil, beginning in August 2012, the Financial Times reports

The new program, which will be run with local Brazilian associate institution ISE, is the first EMBA program IESE has run outside of Spain and is part of an effort to create a presence in one of the world’s fastest growing economies, according to the FT.

“Launching our flagship Executive MBA in Brazil will fulfill IESE’s mission: that is, to help executives of one of the most important emerging economies become more successful professionals, with more opportunities and undergoing the school’s transformational experience, leaving the programme as leaders who the business world and society can trust,” Jordi Canals, IESE dean, said in a statement.

The new EMBA program will run for 19 months, with classes held every two weeks. Classes, which will be taught in English, Portuguese and Spanish, are designed working executives with at least five years of experience.
