HBS Admissions Director Sets Expectations for Tomorrow’s R2 Decision Notification

Anxious second round applicants to Harvard Business School (HBS) don’t have much longer to wait. Tomorrow, April 6th, is the Round 2 notification date. In a post to her blog late last week, HBS Admissions Director Dee Leopold let candidates know what to anticipate on notification day.

“We expect to release all decisions around noon on April 6th,” she wrote. “You’ll receive an email from HBS MBA Admissions saying that your decision is now available online.” Don’t expect a phone call with decision news before this, Leopold stressed. There will be absolutely no advance phone calls, she said.

If you are among those placed on the waitlist tomorrow, take heart, Leopold advises. “I am very confident that we will be making admissions offers in May to some Round 2 waitlisters,” she wrote. Waitlisted candidates should expect to be in touch with Eileen Chang, who manages the HBS waitlist, Leopold added.

If for any reason decisions won’t be going out at noon tomorrow as planned, Leopold will update her blog accordingly. (And we’ll be sure to let you know here on the Clear Admit blog as well.)

Good luck tomorrow! And remember that the Clear Admit Wiki is a great place to share your news and to learn how others made out. Check it out here.
