Haven’t given up hope, just being logical…

So it’s been a week since my interview went complete. And still no word from Columbia. I’m expecting or rather hoping to hear back today because one applicant (Novian) was accepted last Thursday and an applicant from last year who I know was also accepted on a Thursday. I somehow thought that maybe adcom likes to get together on this particular day to render the final decision ie .Thursday is judgment day. There’s a finality sound to that. Anyway, I know I should chillax like everybody saids, but doubt and uncertainty started to creep in as the days passed. I am human after all. And as a result, I started on my NYU essays. Obviously, I have not given up hope – far from it – I’m just taking the logical approach. And since NYU’s Round 1 deadline is only a month away, I might as well get an early start. In addition, I’m planning on visiting the school, contacting student ambassadors, and will try to see if I can sit in on a class or two. They may help in my essay writing, especially essay two. Essay two questions are
(a) What is your personal experience with the Stern community? Tell us what actions you have taken to learn about us.
(b) Describe what most excites you about Stern from both an academic and extracurricular perspective.
(c) How do you anticipate making your mark on the Stern community? Be specific about the roles you will take on and the impact you hope to achieve.

I basically understood these questions as “show us luv.” In order to do that, I’ll have to research my butt off. Anyway, fingers still tightly crossed…
