GMAT Bus to Begin Sixth North American Tour Next Month

The GMAT Mobile Test Center – or GMAT Bus, as it is more widely known – will set off on its sixth North American tour on October 26th. Over the following eight months, the bus will bring the GMAT exam directly to prospective business school students at 28 universities across the United States.

The Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), which owns the GMAT exam, launched the GMAT bus tour in 2006 as part of an effort to increase access to the GMAT exam for test takers. The bus features six high-tech GMAT testing stations and satellite communications links so that students located far from a permanent GMAT test center have a more convenient place to take the exam.

Pearson VUE, which provides test administration services for the GMAT worldwide, manages the bus for GMAC. It uses the same test-security and ID-verification systems used at permanent GMAT test centers, ensuring that testing on the bus is just like testing at a permanent center.

Students who would like to register to take the GMAT on the mobile testing center can call GMAT customer service at 1 (800) 717-GMAT between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Central Time or visit www.mba.com. Registration opened on August 20th. For a full travel schedule for the GMAT bus, click here.
