I witnessed yesterday night, what was one of the finest concerts at Tuck. Truly extraordinary effort went into pulling it off and the result was a spectacular performance in front of a crowd that easily pushed the 600 or 700 mark.
Admitted students’ weekend is the one annual event where three classes of Tuckies congregate. This year was no different with members of the graduating class of 2010, first year class of 2011, and the incoming class of 2012, and Tuck Partners, all coming together under one roof.
A weekend full of activities culminated in a rock concert put together by my classmates in the Tuck Band (ably supported by T’11s who will be members of next year’s Tuck Band). The concert was FANTASTIC, the crowd went absolutely wild with each song – the atmosphere was electrifying.
That this would be one of the last parties at Tuck with fellow T’10s was not lost on us, and we certainly enjoyed it to the hilt. The night belonged to the Tuck Band – what an amazing performance and what a response from the crowd!
I haven’t solicited comments from this blog’s readers before, so this will be a departure for me. If you were among the attendees in the party yesterday – whether you are a T’10, TP’10, T’11, TP’11, T’12, or TP’12 – if you actually enjoyed being there, if you have a minute to spare, do consider shouting out for the Tuckies who made the concert happen as well as for all the ASW oranizers and volunteers for all their efforts over the last few months.
I will certainly treasure yesterday’s Tuck Band performance for the rest of my life as one of the fondest memories at Tuck. Kudos to everyone associated with this year’s ASW for making the event such a phenomenal success!
