Beyond the MBA Classroom: Columbia Business School Follies

When you select an MBA program, you are not just choosing your learning environment, but are also committing to becoming part of a community. Each Thursday, we offer a window into life “beyond the MBA classroom” at a top business school.

The end of each semester at Columbia Business School is marked with CBS Follies—a completely student-run comedy and entertainment show that is performed for the school’s student body, which, we were informed, has been known to get rather rowdy during these presentations. CBS Follies made its mark in 2006 with the YouTube hit “Every Breath Bernanke Takes,” which lampooned CBS Dean Glenn Hubbard’s position as runner-up to Ben Bernanke to become chairman of the Federal Reserve.
