See if you can spend the night before your interview with a current student; he or she is your best resource! Not only can this save you money, but it is also a great way to learn more about a particular medical school. Contact the admissions office in advance. They often can put you in touch with students who have volunteered to host applicants the night before their interviews.
Whenever you have the opportunity, talk to current students about their own experiences. They have been where you are and know what you are going through, and they are often happy to share their personal experiences with prospective students.
