I have recently been accepted to Columbia Business school EMBA
Saturday program. I had little time to prepare the application and
called Yael for help. We met once in person ( I found face to face
very helpful) and several times over the phone and email. Yael has
been extremely helpful in defining my strengths and weaknesses. Also
in defining the structure of my essays, basically reviewing the essays
I wrote, more exactly identifying what content is relevant to the
Business school, and what content is not. She was able to give
relevant feedback in a small amount of time. The fact that I had my
essays already written, and requested her help for review, made our
sessions more efficient. Upon her guidance, I was able to understand
better what type of information the Admissions would like to see and
re-structured my essay accordingly. She identified the weaknesses of
my essays very well.
Yael helped me also to get prepared for the Oral interview with
Columbia. Again she is very structured and knows what type of
questions we will be asked ( and she was right). We did a simulation
of the Oral interview and she gave me very good “personalized” advices
on how to make my application stronger. She also pointed out to the
interesting/unique part of my application that I was not aware of, or
would simply think of it as not important. Her guidance and critical
thinking definitely helped me to strengthen my application for
Columbia.
