A Tradition Unlike Any Other

No, we’re not talking about the Masters. This coming weekend, approximately 250 admitted students and their partners will be visiting Tuck to participate in an annual tradition simply known as: Admitted Students Weekend (ASW). But don’t be deceived by the simplicity of the name – ASW is quite easily one of the most fun weekends at Tuck. Action-packed from morning to night, it’s three days of meeting and greeting, socializing and seeing all that Tuck has to offer from faculty to student life to housing.

For all of you admitted students out there, ASW is a robust opportunity to “kick the tires” at Tuck and see if Hanover is where you want to be for your MBA experience. That is, if you haven’t decided already! One great element of ASW is that many students have already committed to coming to Tuck, so you are meeting your actual classmates and getting to know them well before classes start in the fall.

If for some unexplained reason you are still on the fence about attending Tuck, be warned: we students will do everything in our power to convince you on the spot that Tuck is right for you (no pressure, of course :) . After three days of mingling during student and alumni panels, dinners, Wine Night, Tuck Vegas, and other activities, I hope that Tuck will start to feel like home-away-from-home for you.

Perhaps my most memorable moment from last year’s ASW was a presentation that Dawna Clarke gives every year, chock full of facts and figures about the incoming class – and you fully realize what amazing and incredible people will surround you as a Tuck student. Do *not* miss this event, no matter what you do!

As a new Co-Chair of the Wine Society, I’ll be helping with the ASW Wine Night event on Friday. Stop me with any and all questions about Tuck, and I’d be happy to discuss them with you over a glass of red or white. Cheers!
